Windows devices update

Runtime and firmware updates for Windows devices are available through https://www.keb-automation.com/en-it/products/control-automation/software-tools/combivis-connect or directly through COMBIVIS connect Manager.

Update through COMBIVIS connect Manager

  1. Access COMBIVIS connect Manager and select the router that you wish to update in the left pane of the Explorer > Domain view section.
  2. Check for the Update Status parameter in the right pane of the same section. If a newer version of the router firmware is available, the Available appears under the Update Status parameter.
  3. Select the Update Runtime button.
  4. A dialog window opens up.
    • Select the software or firmware version that you want to update among Stable, Beta, Certified (if available).
    • Select the update occurence, depending on whether you wish to start the process immediately (Now) or within a given time frame (Within time window).
  5. Select Schedule.
Note: COMBIVIS connect Manager attempts to perform a scheduled update up to three times, in case the updating process did not occur successfully.
Note: It is possible to schedule an update while the device is offline. The system will start or resume the updating process at the specified time if the device is online.
Important: Make sure that the device is not rebooted while its firmware update is in progress.
